The New Bayview

Baby Shower at BayView

BayView Senior Assisted Living in Point Loma has the same name as before, is still an inviting yellow from the outside, and still puts elders with or without memory care needs first, so what’s changed? Everything!

BayView is now owned by a local San Diego family that has been in the business of assisting seniors in San Diego for over three decades. They’re focusing their experience and energy toward providing an assisted living community specializing in memory care that services the local Point Loma community and greater San Diego. Since our purchase of the property and business we have made many changes in the physical aspects of BayView, while maintaining a resident-care focus and developing the best staff in the assisted-living memory care industry.

Some of our efforts over the past many months have included upgrading the original wood and aluminum windows to double-pane, gas-filled vinyl windows. They keep the heat or cold out, energy in, and most importantly, the residents comfortable and safe. We have cleaned and re-painted the exterior while maintaining the same color as before as so many locals refer to BayView as the “yellow house on the hill”. We wanted to preserve that notion for the community, while transforming the property to a more refined, welcoming home for elders to come and truly feel at home.

The significant upgrades we have made, and are continuing to make at BayView are helping to create a better flow to the home, reinforcing a peaceful atmosphere throughout. The homes’ decor coupled with the home-cooked meals, activity schedule, music and aroma therapies and attentive staff all help to create the perfect environment for our residents to live with full assistance comfortably and celebrate life each day. Studies have shown that the sounds of life: a boat sounding its horn in the morning bay fog, the church bells across the street at St. Agnes church, or children playing at the neighboring park; are all natural reminders to our residents. It is our job to make sure the setting in which they experience these reminders is one of loving care, honoring their dignity and respect first.

We feel so very lucky to get to know each of our residents, their families, and be able to help them during a time when it matters most. We look forward to continuing the upgrades to BayView, including a renovated patio area for visiting, gardening, and relaxing. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you, and keep an eye out for updates and posts on social media to stay up to date with us!
